CAMPS International is a German agency for educational travel founded in 1984. Our offices are in Hamburg and Berlin. We are proud to be part of the American Institute for foreign study (AIFS) Group since 2010.
We offer high school programs both inbound and outbound as well as holiday und language camps. Our high school programs currently include the following 14 countries around the world: USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Costa Rica, Argentina, South Africa. Further, we work with holiday and language camp operators in England, Canada and the US.
We focus on high school programs where students stay in host families, because we believe that this is how a culture can be best experienced. Our German students do not go abroad only for academic reasons but to get to know a new culture, meet new people and broaden their horizon in general as well.
One of our most important corporate values is: We keep our word! The hanseatic city of Hamburg looks back on a long tradition of “honorable traders”, who sealed contracts only by a handshake because each party trusted the other party would hold up their end of the bargain. This is a standard we live by. We will not make a promise we cannot keep.
It is important to us to be most transparent with our clients and our partners all over the world. We try to prepare our students for most of the things that can present themselves as obstacles during their time abroad and how to handle those. Not an easy task because students and their natural families have high expectations towards the time abroad particularly due to social media. We perceive it as our responsibility to have students not be disappointed when expectations cannot be met because they were too high to begin with. We are proud of the feedback we get from our partners that our students are one of the most prepared ones when they get to their destination country.
We are an international team, with employees having lived abroad for a longer period of time or employees living and working in Germany now, who have grown up in another country. Because of the cultural richness within our team, we know that sometimes it is difficult to find the right communication basis, but we have gained a lot of experience throughout the years and will try our best to also consider issues from your point of view. Fortunately, this has always worked very well, and we have built long lasting relationships with our partners abroad and are always happy to corporate with new partners from all over the world.
